What is data modernisation?

Data modernisation is the process of migrating legacy data infrastructure and rebuilding it on modern, cloud-native platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks or Snowflake - that are scalable, governed and AI-ready.

Can you migrate our existing BI reports?

Yes. We use our Switchblade and VizShifter accelerators to migrate BI reports between platforms. Switchblade is designed for Fabric, automating the report migration process. VizShifter handles visual conversion across platforms.

How long does a data migration typically take?

A focused migration of a single legacy system typically takes 8 to 12 weeks. A larger, multi-system migration or greenfield platform build may take 12 to 24 weeks. We provide fixed timelines and clear milestones from the start. Migrations of reports only can be completed much faster using Accelerators.

What happens to data quality during a migration?

Data quality is assessed before, during and after migration using our Data Quality Framework. We profile incoming data, define quality rules, flag exceptions and validate the migrated data against the source.

What is Microsoft Fabric and should we use it?
