A novel approach to attaining a single view of customer - and building real-world analytics capability

Endeavour Energy provides electricity to around 2.4 million people across Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands, the Illawarra and the South Coast. The organisation needed a trusted, integrated view of its customers - bringing together data from billing, CRM, field services and customer interaction systems into a single golden record. At the same time, the organisation was building internal analytics capability and needed Power BI solutions that its teams could own and evolve. The dual challenge - technical integration and organisational capability building - required a partner willing to work alongside the internal team rather than delivering and departing.

One51 designed and built a single view of customer on Microsoft Azure, implementing an identity resolution framework that connected customer records across more than 20 data sources. Rather than building a solution that the team could not maintain, One51 worked alongside Endeavour Energy's internal data team throughout the engagement - transferring knowledge, building capability and leaving the organisation in a position to continue evolving the solution. In parallel, One51 delivered Power BI dashboards giving network operations, customer services and executive teams the visibility they needed to make faster, better-informed decisions.
